Making coffee at home? Making coffee at home is quite rewarding. My number one favorite reason being, you don't even have to change out of your pajamas to make amazing coffee. There are many ways to make a great cup of coffee at home at different skill levels and methods that will really up your home coffee game.

We have prepared a few tips for making better coffee at home, if you have other tips and suggestions, please share with us in the comments below.

Starting with the basic: getting different, maybe better, beans! It sounds so simple, but it is the first thing that we needed to consider, especially if making coffee at home is a new routine for you. We recommend trying to get a little bit of everything to find what you like. Light roast to dark roast from different origins. Not every kind of coffee is going to be what you want to wake up to, but the variety is fun.

Experience with different grounds. While the quality and the freshness of your beans are important, it's vital to ground the beans just prior to making your coffee. Once the coffee is ground it oxidized and begins to lose flavor, and the size of the ground changes the taste of the coffee. Experiment with a coffee you know well and you can really tell the difference.

Try brewing methods: Take advantage of the extra time you've got right now, and try new brewing method that you haven't before. For example, if you're part of the capsule coffee group, you may want to give the French press a try.

There are a lot of benefits to the French press. The texture and the overall mouthfeel of your coffee are very different — it's smooth and sumptuous — because the oils from the coffee preserved in the brewing process. Also, a French press is great because it puts the person in charge of the the outcome of the coffee. There is more interaction than a machine. You can also try with different coffee grounds and the temperature of the water. That way, you really get to know your beans.

Making your favorite drink at home: Most of us don't have an espresso machine at home. (if you do, you probably don't need to read this guide to making better coffee). We'll have to agree that espresso is a key to our coffeehouse favorites — lattes, mocha, cappuccinos — these drinks are more challenging to try recreate at home when we don't have the same set up.

And that's where the moka pot comes in handy. Moka pot is a stove top coffee maker that brews coffee by passing boiling water, pressurized by the steam through ground coffee. We call them the stove-top espresso machine. It can make a deliciously strong coffee at home. While you're making your coffee on a Moka pot, choose your milk of choice, heat it up on a sauce pan and whisk it until it becomes frothy. Bring your milk to a light simmer, and do not let it boil. You can do whatever you want with the ratio, but we like one part coffee and two parts milk. Let us know how it goes.
